🗡️ Hey, OGCommunity! Time for some hot news:
Oblivion Remastered shadow-drops — Cyrodiil returns in full Unreal Engine 5 glory
Bethesda just pulled the trigger on one of gaming’s worst-kept secrets: The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered is out now — no hype cycle, no countdown, just a straight-up shadow drop.
Built in Unreal Engine 5 by Virtuos, this remaster isn’t just a visual facelift. It brings 4K/60fps performance, redesigned UI, revamped combat animations, and a fully playable third-person mode. The infamous level-scaling system? Overhauled. Lip-sync tech? Upgraded. And yes, they even added sprinting.
But the real kicker: the voice lines. They’ve re-recorded dialogue for each race, fixing the old “same voice for everyone” issue — yet somehow, the goofy charm of the original still shines through.
The remaster includes both Knights of the Nine and Shivering Isles expansions and is available now on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S — including Game Pass. There’s also a Deluxe Edition with bonus quests, gear, and a digital artbook.
So, OGs — is this the return to Cyrodiil you’ve been waiting for, or are you holding out for The Elder Scrolls VI?
